Customer requirements are defined when an order is formalized. MC3D works with each customer with digital mock-ups and photos before deposits and final approval is given and the item is physically printed out. The level of quality assurance delivered to the customer is determined by the project’s application and the customer’s prioritization of cost, aesthetics, strength and materials.
Before printing, MC3D validates each design by checking for errors, inconsistencies, and compatibility with the chosen material and printer. The PrusaSlicer program checks for errors in g-code and corrects them. It also checks for printability. MC3D takes all necessary steps to mitigate failures and poor print quality.
Designs generated by other designers: We use all tools available in PrusaSlicer program to ensure the items are printable.
In-House generated designs: Any items that are designed by MC3D, are measured, prototyped, adjusted and reprinted in order to ensure the item is acceptable before the final item is printed in the correct colors etc.
During printing, MC3D monitors the printing process and the part quality using sensors, software and direct supervision. We measure parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, layer thickness, and geometry, and compare them to the expected values. We are able to detect anomalies such as warping, cracking, delamination, or porosity, and adjust or stop the printing if necessary.
After printing, MC3D inspects each 3D printed item using various methods and tools, depending on the type and purpose of the item. We use visual inspection, dimensional measurement, surface finish analysis, mechanical testing, or non-destructive testing to evaluate the quality and performance of your 3D printed parts. Post-process inspection helps us identify and correct any defects or deviations that may have occurred during printing.
All items are test fit and adjusted where necessary to ensure the item will work as noted. MC3D is committed to the quality of product it produces for each customer.
Throughout the quality control process, MC3D collects, stores, and analyzes data from each design, printing, and inspection stages. We use software platforms and written notes to manage our data. Our data management helps us to enhance the efficiency, quality, and traceability of each 3D printed items.
Once an Item is finished, it is photographed and details are sent to the customer for final approval. Each item is individually wrapped in preparation for either pick-up or delivery to ensure item gets to the customer safely and efficiently. Each item is prepped with the end use in mind.
MC3D uses the results and insights from our quality control process to improve our 3D printing workflow and outcomes. We are continually learning new programs and keeping our firmware, software and machines in current and updated condition. The world of 3D printing is ever changing and we are committed to change with it to bring our customers 3D printing performance and quality. Continuous improvement helps us achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction, competitiveness, and innovation with our 3D printed items.
MC3D Creations works to ensure all filament and resins used are to the highest quality for the parts used for the customer. The supplies we use have all been acquired from reputable Suppliers.
